The City of Stillwater, the St. Croix Valley Recreation Center, and the Stillwater Area Curling Center (SACC), in conjunction with other community partners are undertaking St. Croix Valley Recreation Center Expansion to upgrade the existing facility along with a new state-of-the-art, eight-sheet, world class Curling facility. Some of the major upgrades include:
• Recreation Center expanded lobby
• two additional accessible entrances
• new lockers for existing sports teams
• coaching rooms
• activity rooms
• workout rooms
• expanded parking
• storage upgrades etc.,
• shared public food/beverage service
• eight curling sheets of ice
• upper-level viewing areas for curling and hockey
• ADA accessibility

The public/private partnership project anticipates a significant public, philanthropic capital campaign.
